Project Ocean
Designed for Intel India, Project Ocean is a plug-and-play external graphics processor designed to explore how can reduce material waste in consumer electronics. Inspired by the structural efficiency of the Volu Pavilion[↗] by Zaha Hadid Architects, the enclosure's form was generated using computer algorithms to place material only where it is strictly needed to support the internal components. This approach eliminates unnecessary mass, resulting in an open, skeleton-like framework. By making the entire housing see-through, the internal engineering is completely exposed, turning the functional circuit boards into a visual asset. The final design blends organic complexity with the nostalgic transparency of classic Macintosh[↗] hardware, creating an object where algorithm defines the aesthetic.
